In this murder mystery game, each player takes on an eccentric role and is one of the main suspects in a murder case. The goal of the game is to have a nice evening with friends and investigate a mysterious murder case together. You will discuss clues, laugh a lot and try to figure out the culprit. However, the murderer among you wants to remain unrecognized and will try to pin the crime on someone else.

Is the game boring for supporting roles?

No. Our games are designed so that even the supporting roles are suspected and can actively participate in the game. Besides, even the host does not know which the supporting roles are.

What if materials are missing?

If your game box is not complete, you can download the missing materials using the password in the host booklet on the download page of the game.

What is the age range for the games?

The murder mystery dinner games are suitable for ages 16 and up.

Do I have to be a good actor to play a murder mystery dinner game?

No. There is no scripted dialogue in our games, except for the short introduction, but don't worry. The point of this game is not to provide a perfect acting performance, but to have a lot of fun while investigating together. We also make sure to create roles that everyone can easily get into.

How long does the game last?

It depends. If you have the full number of players and a menu of several courses, you can easily play for 4 hours or more. If you have the minimum number of players and only snacks, 2 hours will be enough.

Does the game have to be combined with a meal?

The game can last three to four hours if you play the full number of roles. That's why it makes sense to provide food and drinks. However, you don't have to cook, but can simply prepare snacks and invite your friends to bring a snack or dish to share. We always have pizza at the start of our test games. Of course, you can also conjure up a three-course meal, this can be integrated into the gameplay. However, keep in mind that you, as the host, are also playing the game and could possibly get the role of the murderer. Therefore, you should make sure that you are not too distracted by the cooking during the game and that you have already prepared the meal before the game starts. Do I have to wear a costume?

No. However, we recommend playing the murder mystery dinner in costume, even if it's just with an accessory, as this will create the best atmosphere.

Do I have to give my guests the starting information in advance?

No. You can play the game without your guests getting the role information in advance, since everything you need is included in the role booklets themselves. However, from experience, it is helpful for the flow of the game if everyone can prepare for the role in advance.

Can I play along as the host?

Yes. This game is designed so that you, as the host, can also take on a role without knowing the resolution beforehand.

We are more participants than there are roles. What now?

There is always the possibility of assigning the extra role of the game leader, who cannot be the murderer but can lead through the game and guess along. This role is especially suitable for someone who does not like to defend or discuss.

Does the murderer know he or she is the murderer right at the beginning?

The murderer knows their character is the guilty party from the beginning, which is important as they are the only characters in the game allowed to lie.
